Meat and tofu soup
Thinly chopped beef 100g
Momen tofu 300g
Green onion 1
Dried kelp 5x5 cm
Mirin seasoning 2 tablespoons
Soy sauce 1 and 1/2 tablespoons
Japanese sake 2 teaspoons
Beef and tofu go well together. Tofu absorbs the tastiness and flavor of beef, which makes the meal so delicious. Eating with rice is highly recommended.
Cut tofu into bite size. Cut onion into 1cm wide wedges. Cut green onion into 7mm wide pieces with kitchen scissors. Wipe dried kelp with wet paper towel to remove dust.
Pour water, kelp, mirin, soy sauce and sake into a pot and heat at high heat. When it starts bubbling, place the chopped beef and onion, and cook for 5 minutes while removing scum.
Add momen tofu and cook for another 5 minutes. Serve on a place then sprinkle the green onion.
